Digital Content Librarian (TeachingBooks)
Content Cleveland, Ohio

Description
This position will require you to be in the Greater Cleveland, OH area
We are presently in a hybrid schedule, 2 days on campus and 3 days WFH
 
The Digital Content Librarian is responsible for growing and maintaining the TeachingBooks collection by selecting online resources and cataloging them along with their associated bibliographic metadata. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Select and catalog resources about children’s and young adult literature and creators of such literature in accordance with the TeachingBooks Collection Development Policy and Classification Manual though assigned projects. 
  • Catalog bibliographic metadata to comply with the TeachingBooks Classification Manual. 
  • Special projects as assigned. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements: 
  • Master’s Degree in Library Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • 1-3 years of related experience in cataloging or collection development. 
  • Experience selecting or using books for instruction in PK-12 settings (library, school, etc.) 
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Strong knowledge of books, education, and/or the library industry. 
  • Ability to consistently identify and correct subtle details in digital forms and text 
  • Demonstrated ability to complete assigned tasks and objectives, meet timelines, and provide updates. 
  • Ability to work in Microsoft Office.
  • Enough comfort with HTML to identify relevant code.
