This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage.

Position Summary Information 
Job Description Summary  | The Digital Content Specialist supports the creation and execution of digital content across university websites, email campaigns, social media channels, landing pages and other digital platforms. Working closely with colleagues both within Strategic Marketing and Communications and across campus, this role helps produce and manage content that engages diverse audiences, including current and prospective students, and supports institutional priorities. The Digital Content Specialist will have hands-on experience in digital advertising, content strategy and audience engagement across the full marketing funnel, ensuring adherence to Chapman brand and writing guidelines across channels. This position reports to the Digital Marketing Manager in Chapman University’s Strategic Marketing and Communications department.This position is in person in Orange, CA. The successful candidate will be expected to be in the office 3-5 days a week.

Responsibilities 
Support the creation and execution of digital content across university websites, email campaigns, social media channels, landing pages and other digital platforms:
 Create and maintain content and webpages across multiple institutional websites that deliver exceptional user experiences for prospective students and other key audiences. Design audience-focused visuals, assist in the creation, design and distribution of email campaigns and support the coordination of video production efforts. Support the development of social media content that strategically targets prospective students at various stages of the enrollment funnel, nurturing interest and engagement throughout their decision-making journey. Contribute to the planning, execution, and optimization of digital campaigns across owned, earned, and paid channels, including social media, search, and web platforms.
 
Other duties
Assist with special and administrative projects across the office and other duties as assigned. Will support strategic communications and PR efforts as needed and directed.

Required Qualifications 
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, advertising, business or related field. Experience in a communications, digital content, social media, digital marketing, or related role. Excellent web and copy-editing skills (grammarian, great proofreader, understand visual web aesthetics and have a working knowledge of web principles) Familiarity with social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok) and an understanding of platform best practices. Basic HTML, CMS and Photoshop skills, experience with online publishing and content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Cascade, Modern Campus. Entrepreneurial, self-starter with tact and diplomacy skills. Strong attention to detail and project management skills. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to enterprise systems, software and tools. Excellent communications skills and time management. Ability to follow policies and procedures for Chapman University and the department; able to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures. Strong interpersonal skills with a diverse group of individuals at all organizational levels. Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve web issues for Chapman constituents. Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and take direction while contributing creative ideas.

Desired Qualifications 
Experience with email marketing tools (e.g., Salesforce Email Marketing Studio, Constant Contact, Campaign Monitor). Basic knowledge of digital marketing tools such as Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, or similar platforms. Interest in higher education and a passion for engaging current and prospective students through digital marketing channels.
