Job Description

About the Role:

As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing paid search campaigns and paid online media (including social, display and retargeting), optimization of those media activities and reporting out on performance. As the subject matter expert for our audience, the Digital Marketing Specialist will consult with the Sr. Digital Marketing Manager (and college marketing teams) to align digital marketing plans to support performance objectives and implement tactics to achieve and surpass WGU's lead generation goals.

Location: This position requires you to work in office 4 days a week at the WGU headquarters: 4001 South 700 East Salt Lake City, UT 84107. 

What you'll do…

  • Create and manage paid video, display, and paid search (Google Ads, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) campaigns for various audiences and degree programs.
  • Optimize and test ad performance on a granular level.
  • Develop recommendations for new campaigns, audiences, and messaging approaches that align with the WGU media KPIs.
  • Partner with internal teams to implement and execute campaign testing.
  • Conduct bid management analysis and make adjustments based on data.
  • Manage and maintain campaign budget tracking and optimizations.
  • Assist in report building, report development, data analysis and reviewing analytics for key opportunities.
  • Responsible for providing data insights and actions for formalized reporting.
  • Request creative and assist in ideation of creative concepts and messaging along with WGU creative teams.
  • Implement and manage audience nurturing lists and strategies across multiple digital marketing channels.
  • Manage 3rd party relationships with digital and social partners.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities You'll Need to be Successful:

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of paid digital marketing in social media, display channels, and search.
  • Experience with daily account management across Google Ads and Social platforms.
  • A self-starter behavior that can get the job done without constant supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Data, analytics, and developing reports should be exciting to you.
  • Extremely organized when dealing with a large number of ongoing projects.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to thoughtfully prepare and present reports to other team members, and sr. leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-2 years of active management of paid digital campaigns (social, display, remarketing, etc.)

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience working with Google Ads
  • Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working with an Ad Agency.

Position & Application Details
