The Director will lead business development strategy and employer engagement to support MBA, Executive MBA, and MS students, as well as global alumni. This role involves designing industry-specific strategies, managing KPIs, coordinating programming and messaging, and building employer relationships across the U.S. and globally in collaboration with internal teams.

Highlights

Leads design and implementation of business development and employer engagement strategies across multiple student programs and alumni networks.
Collaborates with Columbia Business School colleagues and Career Management Center to leverage employer relationships and support school-wide initiatives.
Develops outreach plans to help employers build talent pipelines, including job postings, events, and educational programming.
Manages a Business Development team responsible for employer relationships and program execution.
Analyzes employer engagement metrics against KPIs to assess outcomes and inform strategy.
Plans and executes recruiting and educational events with employer participation as speakers and panelists.
Supports student career exploration by coordinating with student clubs and industry centers and educating students on trends and recruitment.
Represents CBS at professional meetings and develops content for external communications including newsletters and websites.
Requires a Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience, strong interpersonal, leadership, project management, and data analytics skills, and proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
Preferred qualifications include an MBA or Master’s degree and 7+ years industry experience in technology, financial services, or consulting sectors.
