The Amplify Supply Chain team is seeking a Director, Business Process Manager with a strong specialization in Sample Products for K12 Print/Publication to enhance our operational capabilities. This role is dedicated to driving excellence in our SIOP processes and systems, with a focus on aligning sample design and delivery with organizational strategic goals and overseeing digital and physical sampling strategies in alignment with educational industry benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, document, and improve sample management processes, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals, especially in sample design and delivery for sales support.
  • Oversee the optimization of sampling processes, including digital and physical sampling strategies, packaging efficiencies, and budget alignment.
  • Lead and manage key initiatives such as commercial product sampling optimization, digital sampling enhancements, and vendor contract exploration.
  • Collaborate closely with departments like marketing, sales operations, inventory management, and product development to ensure cohesive sample planning and execution.
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions for sample production, tracking, and distribution, focusing on efficiency gains, cost reduction and sample ROI..
  • Monitor and report on sample usage, spend, and shipping expenses, using data to drive decisions and improvements.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, exploring new opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.
  • Oversee the sample budget, ensuring alignment with the company's financial goals and operational capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 Years experience in business process management, preferably in the publishing or education sector.
  • 5 years of proven strong project management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in budget management and cost optimization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Certifications in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma)
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Black Belt preferred) with demonstrable experience applying these methodologies to print and distribution processes.
  • Certifications related to supply chain operations (e.g. CPIM or CSCP)
  • Prior experience in the K12 educational technology or publishing sector, with an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within this domain.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience in guiding multi-disciplinary project teams in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

The gross annualized salary range for this role is $96,000 - $133,000. This role is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
