Mississippi State University is hiring a Director for the Mississippi Cyber Initiative. The Director will lead statewide cybersecurity efforts by providing strategic vision, executive leadership, and operational oversight, fostering partnerships among academia, government, military, and the private sector to enhance cybersecurity, workforce development, research, and economic growth.

- Lead statewide cybersecurity strategy and operations for the Mississippi Cyber Initiative and the Mississippi Cyber & Technology Center.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with military, government, law enforcement, academic, and private industry stakeholders.
- Oversee cybersecurity education, workforce development programs, and digital forensics initiatives across Mississippi.
- Promote multidisciplinary research, innovation, technology commercialization, and economic development within cybersecurity and related fields.
- Manage organizational operations including strategic planning, budgeting, personnel, and resource stewardship.
- Required to have a bachelor's degree and at least ten years of leadership experience in cybersecurity, law enforcement, digital forensics, public safety, national security, or related fields.
- Demonstrates experience leading complex multi-organizational initiatives and managing budgets and staff.
- Preferred qualifications include advanced education or certifications in cybersecurity, senior executive leadership experience, and active or attainable security clearance.
- Works collaboratively with entities such as Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi Department of Public Safety, the Department of War, and other key cybersecurity stakeholders.
- Position based at Mississippi Cyber & Technology Center in Biloxi, MS, with salary negotiated per university policy.
