Director of Alumni Fundraising Full Description

Position Summary:
 Albright College seeks a dynamic, results-oriented professional to serve as the Director of Alumni Fundraising. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to engage alumni in philanthropic support of the College, with a focus on increasing participation and annual giving revenue. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Development, the Director will play a key role in advancing the College’s mission by fostering a culture of giving among alumni and strengthening lifelong connections with the institution.
 
 Key Responsibilities:
 • Alumni Fund Strategy & Management
 ◦ Develop and lead a comprehensive annual alumni fundraising strategy focused on donor acquisition, retention, and upgrades.
 ◦ Partner with Advancement Services, Communications, and Alumni Relations to design and implement multi-channel campaigns, including mail, email, social media, phone, and peer-to-peer outreach.
 • Volunteer Engagement
 ◦ Recruit, train, and manage alumni volunteers to support class giving, reunion fundraising, and Giving Day participation.
 ◦ Serve as staff liaison to the Alumni Fund Committee and collaborate with the Alumni Association Board.
 • Donor Portfolio Management
 ◦ Maintain a portfolio of 75–100 alumni donors and prospects, conducting regular outreach, visits, and solicitations.
 ◦ Identify and qualify leadership annual fund donors ($1,000+) and work in partnership with major gift officers to cultivate potential pipeline candidates.
 • Program Innovation
 ◦ Evaluate giving trends and donor behavior to inform segmentation and personalize engagement strategies.
 ◦ Pilot new initiatives aimed at young alumni giving and GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade) giving, milestone reunions, and affinity-based campaigns.
 • Collaboration & Reporting
 ◦ Work closely with colleagues across Advancement and Marketing to ensure alignment of messaging and donor experience.
 ◦ Track results and provide regular reports on alumni participation, donor counts, and fundraising progress.
 
 Qualifications:
 • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFRE preferred.
 • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising.
 • Demonstrated success in developing fundraising campaigns and meeting/exceeding goals.
 • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build relationships.
 • Ability to manage volunteers and motivate peer solicitors.
 • Familiarity with fundraising CRMs (experience with Slate is a plus).
 • High level of initiative, creativity, and organizational skills.
 
 
 Salary is commensurate with experience and competitive with peer institutions.
