Job Summary/Basic Function  | Provides leadership for the university’s career services function by developing and implementing comprehensive career readiness programs, fostering employer and alumni partnerships, supporting internship and employment opportunities, and preparing students and alumni for successful post-graduation outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications  | Bachelor’s degree required. Experience in career services, student affairs, workforce development, human resources, recruiting, or a related field. Demonstrated experience developing programs, building partnerships, and working with diverse populations.

Preferred Qualifications  | Master’s degree. Supervisory experience. Experience in higher education career services. Experience with career management platforms (i.e. Handshake).

 Job Duties 
Description of Job Duties  | Career Development Programs Lead the development and delivery of career readiness programs, services, and resources for students and alumni. Provide career coaching in areas such as career exploration, career decision-making, job and internship searches, graduate school preparation, and professional development. Develop and maintain career education resources and tools.  Employer and Alumni Relations Establish and maintain partnerships with employers, alumni, and community organizations to expand career opportunities for students and graduates. Promote internships, experiential learning opportunities, and employment opportunities. Collaborate with University Advancement and Alumni Affairs to strengthen student-alumni networking opportunities. Career Education and Outreach Collaborate with academic departments to integrate career readiness into the student experience. Conduct workshops, classroom presentations, and career-related programs. Represent Career Services at university programs and events. Teach Senior Seminar (SREX 400). Events and Operations Direct the planning and implementation of career fairs, networking events, employer recruitment activities, and graduate school programs. Oversee career services technology platforms and employment resources. Ensure effective delivery of career-related services and programs. Leadership and Administration Provide supervision, training, and evaluation of Career Services staff and student employees. Manage departmental budgets and resources. Establish goals, policies, and procedures that support the mission of Career Services. Collect and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and support continuous improvement.
