The role involves partnering with academic and administrative units to identify regulatory risks, develop mitigation strategies, manage compliance policies, and serve as the chief advocate for institutional integrity and regulatory adherence across the university.
Highlights
- Lead design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of the university’s compliance framework and strategic goals.
- Conduct periodic compliance assessments and track relevant laws, including FERPA, GDPR, ADA, Clery, and Title IX.
- Serve as lead for Institutional Risk and Compliance Committee alongside the Director of Risk Management, preparing reports and dashboards for senior leadership.
- Develop, review, and update university-wide compliance policies in coordination with the Office of General Counsel.
- Manage faculty policy compliance, export controls, foreign influence, and federal grant compliance matters.
- Design mandatory compliance training and oversee anonymous reporting mechanisms and internal investigations support.
- Act as primary liaison with regulatory agencies, accreditation bodies, and auditors; oversee the unit’s budget.
- Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, law or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Seven to ten years of progressive experience in compliance, risk management, or legal affairs; university/nonprofit experience preferred.
- Preferred credentials include CCEP or CIA; strong knowledge of higher education regulatory frameworks and federal compliance obligations.
- Salary range approximately $104,850-$127,550 based on experience and qualifications.
