| Primary Purpose of Position | This position is responsible for the qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies for an assigned group of prospects, including individuals and corporations/foundations, with a focus on major gift activity; identification and qualification of new prospects; and managing assigned fundraising projects. |

| Primary Function of Organizational Unit | The mission of the division is to expand the University’s relationship within the community for the purposes of increasing both the financial and Human Resources of the University. To provide operating structure and central administrative support for the Vice Chancellor and the departmental units. |
| Minimum Requirements | Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required with related experience. Experience in higher education fundraising, non-profit fundraising, sales or other relevant experience required. Ability to work independently and in teams, meet high goals and interact effectively with alumni, friends, faculty and staff in a comprehensive research university setting. Willingness to travel and work weekends. |
