Director of District Partnerships – New Jersey Full Description

Director of District Partnerships – New Jersey

NEW JERSEY / NEW YORK, UNITED STATES · TEAM USA · PERMANENT

Young people deserve to graduate from school scientifically literate and ready to tackle tomorrow’s problems. With students set to enter a world and a workforce deeply infused with AI, their abilities to discern fact from fiction, make sense of data, and think critically are more important than ever.

Stile is committed to making the best science lessons in the known universe. We equip teachers with everything they need — from PL to lab kits — to deliver relevant, engaging and impactful lessons for their students. Stile’s complete science curriculum for middle school, housed on our award-winning teaching platform, is continually kept up to date with the latest science and is deeply and easily customized by teachers. Hear what educators have to say about Stile.

We are incredibly proud that over 2,000,000 students have learnt with Stile so far, and we’re on track for that number to reach 10,000,000 by 2030.

We’re looking for passionate, driven education nerds that want to extend their impact.

The job
  • Embed yourself in the education community.
Build and deepen relationships with district leaders and teachers to discuss and debate how to best improve their students' scientific literacy and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Present with conviction on Stile’s approach
Run fun, informative and engaging presentations for adoption committees to highlight how Stile helps teachers deliver more effective, engaging science lessons.
  • Spend time in classrooms
Visit classrooms to model science lessons, helping teachers see how Stile fits into their daily practice. We love to take the “I do, we do, you do” approach to training teachers on how to use Stile.
  • Run community events
We run all sorts of events for the education community—from PD in the Pub to Teacher Trivia Nights.
  • Collaborate with a diverse array of colleagues
Work with our broader Stile team to share insights, refine strategies, and hit collective goals.
  • Prioritize in-person interactions
Travel frequently across your state (and sometimes beyond) to visit schools, attend conferences, and build your network. We believe in forming meaningful in-person relationships, so you’ll be on the road roughly half of your week.

For the avoidance of doubt, this is indeed a sales role… but a sales role like no other. We hold science teaching superheroes in the highest regard, and we want you to be their new sidekick! We are all about having the highest of integrity and transparency, seeking to partner with districts that believe what we believe.

Qualifications, experience, and skills
  • School experience: You’ve spent a few years in the classroom, ideally teaching science. Bonus points if you’ve been an administrator or an instructional coach.
  • Relationship-building skills: You have a track record of building and maintaining trusted relationships.
  • Communication and presentation skills: You have strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and teach in both formal and informal settings.
  • You listen, you understand, you solve. You have a track record of deeply understanding the needs of others, proactively crafting solutions to help them achieve their goals, not yours.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented: Strong work ethic, hustle, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a positive, collaborative attitude. You approach setbacks and challenges with grit and tenacity.

This job is for you if:
  • You know in your bones that the best use of your precious time on this planet is to improve education.
  • You want to play a pivotal role in the expansion of a small, mission-driven company.
  • You’re deeply connected to your local education community—and you love getting out to meet teachers, leaders, and change-makers.
  • You can’t wait to have more conversations about pedagogy, instruction, and what’s really going on in classrooms.
  • You’ve got a gold track record in one or all of: education, education leadership, and sales.

We’re completely obsessed with quality products and quality experiences. From the penning of a customer email to the clarity of a student-facing question, quality means everything to us.
  • Support, always. Stile is its people, and it’s important we are creating an environment where you’re supported, happy and able to do your best work. We provide United’s Silver health care package, vision and dental insurance, employer contributions to 401(k), up to five weeks of PTO annually, free counseling sessions, and much more.

  • Your resume, which should clearly state your top achievements, not just responsibilities, in each role.

Applications close at 5pm Pacific Time on Friday, July 11, 2025.
