The Role
As Director of Engineering, you'll lead our infrastructure and platform teams, enabling operational excellence that powers experiences for millions of members across Mighty Networks.
 
What You'll Do
  • Lead and grow teams in a remote environment
  • Implement operational strategies supporting organizational growth
  • Maintain high performance and availability within our AWS-based Kubernetes infrastructure
  • Evolve web and mobile platforms using the latest native tech stacks
  • Evolve test infrastructure and architecture for web and mobile platforms
  • Empower developers through a low-friction development, CI/CD, and monitoring processes
  • Manage operational budgets and security responses
  • Align compute and storage capacity to match company needs and budget
  • Participate in SOC2 compliance processes
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
 
What We're Looking For
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience
  • 6+ years of engineering management, including managing managers
  • Experience mentoring managers and principal engineers
  • Full-stack technical knowledge (SPAs, APIs, databases)
  • Operational expertise with containerization, autoscaling, and CI/CD
  • Experience managing on-call rotations
  • Security knowledge in cloud environments
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent strong fundamentals

Compensation: The base salary for this role ranges from $140,000–$240,000 USD, with exact compensation based on location, experience, and cost of living.
