Highlights
  • Lead development and execution of annual integrated marketing communications plans including marketing, internal communications, public relations, and special events.
  • Manage creation, quality, and production of digital communications such as news stories, social media, web content, and print publications.
  • Report to Executive Director for Marketing and Communications with a dotted line to respective school/college dean.
  • Target audiences include prospective and current students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and community members.
  • Require Master's degree in communications, marketing, or related field, or equivalent work experience with a BA/BS degree.
  • Experience in branding, digital marketing, message development, strategic marketing, and project management.
  • Proven ability to coordinate communications across multiple marketing channels and develop integrated communication efforts.
  • Preferred knowledge includes higher education and healthcare marketing and communications trends.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills including editing and proofreading.
  • Employment includes completion of a criminal background check; position belongs to University Marketing department supporting Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences schools.
