| Position Overview | The Director of Recruitment and Student Success is responsible for the recruitment and retention of undergraduate students in the College of Natural Resources. Specifically, the Director is responsible for recruiting students to college-wide programs; managing the college scholarship award process, graduation and commencement processes; managing college recruitment events; engaging current and future students for the purpose of enhanced educational and professional development opportunities, and serving as a direct point of contact with college administration. Additionally, the Director will develop policies and practices and manage, monitor, forecast and recommend improvements for CNR enrollment and graduation. This position is in charge of gathering, analyzing and reporting data to guide, plan and improve recruitment enrollment and graduation rates while working closely with the Dean and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs to determine and implement goals and objectives for the College. The person in this position will stay current on changes that will impact student academic plans, including financial aid, academic standing and graduation. These changes include modifications in academic degree program requirements, changes in academic policy related to student academic requirements and federal policies related to financial aid. The Director can represent the college in academic matters in the absence of the Dean or Associate Dean. They will develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with other CNR personnel, faculty and advisers and will communicate clearly and effectively on academic advising, policy change, and student support needs within the college. The Director may also be asked to provide other student academic support for the College of Natural Resources. |
