Realityworks creates hands-on Career & Technical Education (CTE) and workforce readiness solutions that combine curriculum, experiential learning tools, student activities, and assessment resources to help educators prepare students for real-world careers. As a 100% employee-owned company, we’re looking for a strategic Director of Sales who is energized by mission-driven work, strong team leadership, and the opportunity to expand our reach with schools and educators nationwide.
In this leadership role, you’ll set the direction for sales strategy, revenue performance, customer engagement, and go-to-market execution. You’ll partner closely with leaders across Marketing, Product Management, Operations, R&D, and Executive Leadership to align sales priorities with business goals and strengthen how we serve our customers.
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, this role oversees a 25+ person sales organization, including Account Managers, Senior Account Managers, Inside Sales, Sales Enablement, and Sales Operations. You’ll lead an experienced, high-energy team that values collaboration, accountability, and shared wins.

Work Location
- Realityworks is headquartered in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. This is a fully remote position, working from a home office. Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, or Wisconsin.

Compensation
- The expected base compensation range for this position is $125,000 – $175,000 annually, determined by experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
Incentive Compensation
- In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to participate in the company's annual bonus program and in a sales commission plan. Actual incentive compensation will vary based on individual and company performance and the terms of the applicable plans.
What You’ll Do
- Champions and executes our sales strategy to accelerate revenue growth, capture new market opportunities, and fuel long-term business success
- Drives revenue performance through ambitious goal setting, strategic forecasting, pipeline management, and territory planning
- Inspires, coaches, and develops high-performing Account Managers, Inside Sales, Sales Operations, Account Services, and Customer Support teams
- Cultivates a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth through hands-on leadership and talent development
- Partners with Marketing, Product Management, Operations, R&D, and Executive Leadership to strengthen go-to-market execution, elevate the customer experience, and shape product strategy
- Streamlines sales operations, optimizes budgets and resources, and enhances CRM adoption and business processes to support scalable growth
- Expands our market presence by building strong relationships with education leaders, industry partners, and CTE influencers while serving as a visible brand ambassador
- Leverages deep knowledge of K-12 and Career & Technical Education funding, purchasing cycles, and market trends to uncover growth opportunities, support customer success, and navigate complex customer challenges
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive B2B sales experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of sales leadership experience managing geographically dispersed teams
- Demonstrated success coaching high-performing sales teams in an autonomous environment
- Experience leading inside sales, account services, or sales operations functions
- Strong knowledge of K-12 and Career and Technical Education funding structures, including Perkins V and district procurement processes
- Valid driver's license, proof of automobile insurance, and reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- Experience selling educational technology, simulation products, or curriculum-based solutions
- Experience working with ACTE, state CTE directors, or other education networks
- Experience within an employee-owned or mission-driven organization
- Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar CRM platforms
Travel Requirements
- Regular travel (25%+) required for customer sites, conferences, trade shows, strategic planning meetings, and the Eau Claire headquarters.
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit, stand, travel, and work at a computer for extended periods
- Ability to present to groups and travel frequently by automobile and commercial airline
- Ability to occasionally lift and transport sales materials weighing up to 25 pounds
