Description of Work  | The Director of TRIO, provides leadership in the planning, development and administration of federally funded pre-college and college TRIO programs (Educational Talent Search, Student Support Services, Upward Bound, and Upward Bound Math-Science).

The Director of TRIO will: Serve as the named Project Director for each grant and have a solid foundation of the needs and requirements of each grant program. Responsible for overall grant objectives, compliance, assessment, annual reporting, financial/ budget development, management, and performance of all TRIO grants. Work collaboratively to maintain high-quality programs that are focused on student access, opportunity, and academic success. Provide leadership and direction to staff of each grant program area. Provide and support professional development activities to promote staff growth and continuous learning. Build and maintain relationships and connections with public school district partners, participants, parents, community representatives and cultivation of donors interested in supporting student success and degree completion. Ensures awareness and understanding of student access and opportunity programs by providing presentations and networking.

Minimum Required Qualifications  | Master’s degree in educational administration, educational leadership, general business or a related field. At least three years of experience leading programs focused on educational access and opportunity for low-income, first generation, or disabled students. At least two years of experience supervising staff. Experience successfully developing, implementing, and managing a departmental budget. Experience managing and meeting grant expectations.


Preferred Qualifications  | Direct work experience with TRIO programs: Student Support Services, Educational Talent Search, or Upward Bound programs. Grant writing experience.
