Overview:
Director Online Faculty Operations
The Director Online Faculty Operations is responsible for overseeing the recruitment, training, scheduling, support, and performance of online faculty. This role verifies faculty is well-prepared, engaged, and aligned to deliver high-quality online education to students. Additionally, the Director manages faculty scheduling and operational workflows for seamless course delivery. The Director also foster an environment of excellence, innovation, and collaboration among online faculty to maintain the highest standards of teaching and student success.
Salary Range: 85K to 90K

Principal Accountabilities & Deliverables
Manage a team serving as the primary point of contact for online faculty, addressing concerns, resolving issues, and fostering a positive teaching experience
Establish effective communication channels to share updates, resources, and feedback
Develop and oversee faculty recognition programs, an efficient course scheduling process, and forecast staffing needs to support online programs
Collaborate with talent acquisition to recruit and hire qualified faculty, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards
Lead the onboarding process for new instructors, including training on the learning management system (LMS) and institutional policies
Partner with Program Directors to assign faculty to courses and coordinate with the Compensation Team to manage teaching agreements
Work with the Dean of Online Education to launch new programs, for faculty support and effective course delivery
Oversee LMS and online platforms to enhance the learning experience and provide ongoing faculty training on best practices
Develop strategies to improve faculty support, monitor course quality, and address performance challenges
Analyze data to identify opportunities for growth and innovation within online programs
Act as a liaison between academic, technology, and administrative teams, troubleshooting issues for seamless course delivery
Establish/maintain a high performance team of professional, motivated and engaged staff utilizing effective training, performance management and career-development activities while leading them to achieve established business results and performance metrics.

Qualifications: Education / Experience
Master's in education, educational leadership, business administration, or a related field (required)
Minimum five (5) years of online higher education management or operations experience, with a focus on faculty support, scheduling, and development (required)
Minimum three (3) years of online teaching experience (required)
Strong understanding of technology and LMS platforms
Minimum three (3) years of experience in a proprietary online higher education environment (preferred)
Skills
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Proficiency in data analysis tools and project management software
Knowledge of higher education accreditation standards and compliance requirements, especially as it relates to online education
