The Director of Product Management for the Relias Quality pillar is responsible for the delivery of new capabilities on the Relias platform by leading a team of Product Managers and User Experience Designers working directly with engineering. This role requires strategic leadership in defining roadmaps, evaluating high-impact market opportunities, and coaching product teams to deliver measurable business outcomes. The Director plays a key role in setting vision, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and shaping the customer experience across the product portfolio.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
•             Drives collaboration across product pillars (Quality, GRC, and HCM) to ensure cohesive strategy, shared platform capabilities, and aligned user experiences.
•             Owns the strategic roadmap for your product pillar, consolidating themes into clear investment cases that support company goals. Collaborates with the VP to align product strategy across the broader portfolio.
•             Drives opportunity evaluation for a strategic product pillar, including market sizing and hypothesis testing.
•             Guides team in product concept creation, ensuring user value is tightly linked to business strategy. Reviews and coaches on concept documentation for clarity, alignment, and effectiveness.
•             Owns team-level outcomes and adjusts roadmap direction based on impact. Defines and drives performance goals aligned with business objectives.
•             Leads the delivery of new products from product requirements to offering, including pilot programs and initial market launch
•             Provides regular communication and alignment with stakeholders across the business to ensure that the product development team delivers against business needs and sets expectations for the delivery of new functionality
•             Partners with Marketing, Support and Sales teams on commercialization and go-to-market plans Coaches PMs on delivering clearly scoped product concepts, setting measurable outcomes, and applying user and market insights. Ensures continuous improvement in the PM craft across the team.
•             Coaches UX Designers on elevating practice across research, interaction design, and visual design. Reinforces strong user-centered design practices and ensures team output is thoughtful, accessible, and aligned to business impact.
•             Ensures cohesive user experiences by providing feedback on design decisions and user journeys. Establishes a strong voice of customer competency across your team, ensuring the systematic integration of user research, surveys, and behavioral data into strategic decisions.
•             Drives a culture of data-informed decision-making by supporting your team with dashboard creation and performance metrics that reflect product and business KPIs.
•             Leads your team to ensure delivery of the best solution in the time available and delivering incremental functionality.
•             Establishes process improvements and best practices among the product delivery team.
•             Ensures team-level accountability for outcomes, by adjusting direction based on real-world results, diminishing returns, or missed objectives and guiding trade-off decisions with clarity.
•             Other duties as assigned.
 
YOU’VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE/ARE:
•             Expert experience with agile development process, user experience, and customer involvement  
•             Expert experience with feature prioritization, business planning, and new product launches
•             Demonstrated understanding of contemporary technologies and their applicability to healthcare solutions
•             Excellent communication skills
•             Comfortable interacting at all levels of an organization and presenting to executive leadership
•             Very strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to achieve results through influence
•             Able to independently advocate for product strategy in executive forums, balancing customer value, market dynamics, and internal constraints.
•             Solid understanding and proven experience working in a dynamic development environment
•             10+ years of experience in a product management role with 7+ years in a leadership role
•             7+ years of experience with agile software development processes
•             2+ years of experience directly managing product managers
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Strategy, Digital technologies, or a related field
 
IT WOULD BE IDEAL IF YOU HAVE:
•             Demonstrated experience creating alignment with broader enterprise leaders and teams including IT, marketing, data, UX design, AI, and product teams.
•             Demonstrated experience in data-driven personalization and customer journey optimization using Pendo or similar automation tools.
•             Experience with and knowledge of key quality frameworks such as HEDIS, NCQA, AHRQ, and CMS.
•             MBA/MHA

IN OFFICE REQUIREMENT:
Relias values collaboration and wants to ensure that our team members have opportunities to work with their teams regularly for professional development opportunities. Our flexible hybrid work environment requires that you live in the state of North Carolina, within a commutable distance to our office (~1-hour commute). You would be expected to work in our Morrisville, NC Headquarters approximately 40 days/quarter.
