ROLE TITLE: Director, Teacher Coach (Temp)

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As Temp, Teacher Coach you will provide instructional coaching support to TFA corps members during the 2025-2026 school year. This will be through a series of in-person observations, video observations and coaching conversations in which you will support CMs who have been identified as needing short cycle coaching in order to make progress on their instructional practice goals. You will work with the Managing Director, Leadership Development and Senior Managing Director, Leadership Development to set priorities, goals and work plan.
The ideal candidate for this position is passionate about supporting corps members to achieve strong results with students through building relationships, making connections to people and resources, supporting reflection and data-informed decisions, and analyzing student learning to determine recommended supports in service of driving continual learning and improvement. You enjoy being a partner and guide in the vast ecosystem supporting corps members. You are able to spend time in classrooms and schools occasionally during school hours and you are able to connect with CMs occasionally in the evenings or after school.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Support the impact of CMs by observing classrooms and providing concrete feedback for instructional development
Deeply know each participants' experience, goals and potential barriers to success
Communicate with MDLD and SMDLD about observation data, coaching plans and CM experience
Support and attend Saturday events and provide instructional coaching supports and professional learning
A WEEK IN THE LIFE
Over the course of any week, the Teacher Coach will:
Support corps members in achieving strong results with students through
building relationships, making connections to people and resources, supporting reflection and data-informed decisions
analyzing student learning and classroom practice through observations (in-person and virtual) to determine recommended supports in service of driving continual learning and improvement
Collaborate with our Senior Managing Director, Leadership Development, Managing Director Leadership Development and relevant members of our coaching and regional team.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role (minimum qualifications):
Strong instructional knowledge and an understanding of teacher development and coaching
Strong knowledge of the Milwaukee education landscape
Compelling communicator, and inspire others to action: experience collaborating across organizational & institutional boundaries to achieve outcomes
BONUS (preferred qualifications)
Possesses experience with Teach For America as an alum, former staff member, or partner in the community.
Strong experience with Science of Reading and LETRS training
Strong experience with Special Education
DURATION
Up to 30 hours a month September 2025- May 2026
YOUR COMPENSATION
The applicable salary range for each U.S.-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers according to a cost-of-labor index in that geographic area. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary ranges for this role are set forth below. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Tier A: $41.54 / hourly
