Director, The Student Experience and Career Readiness Full Description

Position Summary: 
Oversee and direct day to day operations, programs and services for The Silver Student Experience (Student Affairs) Office and The Office of Career Design and Social Work Readiness at the Silver School of Social Work. In conjunction with the Associate Dean, develop and implement short- and long-term strategies, policies, and programs to enhance the student experience of all undergraduate and graduate students and ensure their preparation and readiness for the social work profession. Direct and manage delivery of career preparation services; Provide Associate Dean with supplemental support regarding emerging issues and crises that impact student wellness, accessibility, and belonging.
 
 
Qualifications: 
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree preferred in social work, counseling, higher education student development or related fields

Required Experience:
7+ years of progressively responsible experience in academic administration or a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience managing office operations, budgets, and staff.

Preferred Experience:
5+ years Experience in Higher education administrative environment working with diverse constituents

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to plan and implement design, plan and execute initiatives. Demonstrate capacity to effectively problem solve. Ability to develop and direct career activities; including planning, marketing, and evaluating program services. Excellent organizational, presentation, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of standard office software. Additional Information: 
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $99,025.00 to USD $139,025.00.
