The Human Development Institute (HDI) at the University of Kentucky is Kentucky’s Center on Disability.HDI is seeking to fill a
Disability Program Specialist II/RISEposition. This position will serve as an
1915(i) Assessor on the 1915i Recovery Independence Support Engagement (RISE) initiative.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Providing individual assessments and other supports to the 1915i RISE initiative and its participants. Promoting development of quality services for individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or Substance Misuse or Use (SMU)/ Substance Use Disorder (SUD) diagnoses.
The ideal candidate for this position will be located in the western region of Kentucky. They will demonstrate a strong understanding of the 1915(i) RISE Assessment Tool and have the ability to gather sensitive information from individual with serious mental illness (SMI), as well as their caregivers and providers. This role requires serving as a neutral, independent assessor to support person-centered evaluations and ensure individuals receive appropriate services based on eligibility.
This position will work remotely from a home office location but requires regular travel throughout the western region of Kentucky.IMPORTANT: Resumes and CVs cannot replace completed applications.
