| Job Summary/Basic Function | High School Dual Enrollment (HSDE) is a program that allows high school students to earn college-level credits while completing their high school credentials. Concurrent enrollment courses are taught at the high schools, with students paying $5 per credit hour. This allows students to access college-level courses at a significantly reduced rate, where students can earn a credential and/or scholarships when graduating high school. Students can also participate in the Early College program, which gives them access to all of Weber State’s academic catalog, just like a standard student would. The Dual Enrollment Academic Advisor position is integral to serving the needs of constituents requesting assistance from the Dual Enrollment Advising Team. The team’s primary function is to provide academic advisement to high school students pursuing college credit and/or a college credential, either as a Concurrent Enrollment or Early College student. This advisor will work exclusively with the Northern Utah Academy of Math, Engineering, and Science (NUAMES) Early College High School, located on the WSU Ogden and WSU Davis campuses. This position is funded for one year, and renewal is contingent on further funding. |
