Early Literacy Tutor Full Description

Catapult Learning is hiring an Early Literacy Tutor to provide contracted instructional services in reading, mathematics, and writing in Northbridge, MA. This part-time position pays $35-36/hour.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the Company
Consult with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students
Communicate and conference with parents, providing information on student progress
Attend training sessions and deliver designated instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing skills using Company-designed materials
Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans
Ensure supervision of students, including escorting students safely to and from sessions
Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by the Company and local, state, and/or federal agencies

Qualifications:

Non-licensed tutors: associate degree (or higher) from an accredited institution, or at least two years of study (48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours)
Licensed tutors: teachers with proper MA state credentials also qualify
Must complete an FBI/BCI background check
Teaching experience preferred
