The Science Editorial Specialist is responsible for reviewing, writing, editing, and revising content as assigned to support development teams.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Creates new content to meet customer needs as assigned
  • Conducts research for content and assets to deliver content 
  • Delivers content that meets all project requirements and style guides as directed 
  • Supports the repurposing of existing content by making changes to allow for reuse in other programs and content areas
  • Ensures that all content is aligned with NGSS standards
  • Creates program-wide resources and documentation
  • Reviews content plans and provides feedback against established criteria
  • Developing materials to support sales and marketing as assigned

Requirements
  • Available to work 20 hours per week during standard business hours
  • At least 20 years of editorial experience 
  • Extensive experience developing NGSS-aligned core curricular programs both in print and digitally
  • Deep understanding of NGSS standards and applying it to curriculum development
  • Experience with EQuIP, NGSS Time, and other evaluation tools, a plus
  • Experience with TCI program development
  • Ability to meet deadlines while working independently
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Zoom, and Project Management tools
  • Must have a personal laptop/computer and be able to run updated versions of provided systems/applications

This position is remote. The pay range for this position is between $65 and $80 hourly. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related experience, skills, and location.
