Job Description
We have an opportunity for an eLearning Courseware Development Specialist to join our talented Professional Services team supporting a Department of Defense customer. The successful candidate will provide input to a team of eLearning courseware developers and work through day-to-day assignments and workloads. He/she will interface with education and training subject matter experts, client and learning management system operations staff, and other stakeholders. They'll provide actual detailed development of engaging, interactive, SCORM-compliant courseware, including end-to-end product testing, review, and maintenance.

Typical responsibilities include:
  • Work with a team of eLearning Courseware Developers
  • Work through all aspects of eLearning courseware development to include building training from an approved storyboard and successful completion of end-to-end product testing
  • Provide technical assistance to update and modify existing courses
  • Ensure learning content and courses are operating properly
  • Co-create eLearning strategy based on input from the business
  • Collaborate with team to design and develop engaging and effective instructional materials
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to ensure the team produces engaging, interactive eLearning products

Qualifications

Required Skills:
  • Associates degree in instruction technology or graphic design, or similar field with a minimum 2 years of experience executing the full life cycle of the ISD process; and/or a minimum 4 years of experience executing the full life cycle of the ISD process
  • Experience with multiple delivery platforms (mobile, social media, web based, and desktop)
  • Knowledge of course development software (Articulate Storyline, Captivate, etc.) and Learning Content Management Systems
  • Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) with customer service mentality
  • Experience with SCORM packaging and Section 508 requirements.
  • Experience in crafting visual and audio experiences that work best with course content (i.e. page layout, typography, color theory, visual focus, audio and video, print design)
  • Developed problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation & communication skills in both oral and written form, including good proof-reading skills
  • Genuine desire to learn is essential
