We are currently hiring for a full-time 1st grade teacher, for the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Elementary Education or related field required and 5+ years of teaching elementary school strongly preferred
  • Valid WA state teaching certificate required
  • Meet federal, as well as individual state requirements and maintain credentials for the position
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all elements of our curriculum and implementation of lesson plans

Physical Requirements:

This leadership role requires work in person in an elementary school to provide training, oversee the curriculum and instruction, and customer and client services per Chestnut Hill Academy at Bright Horizons’ policies, procedures and guidance, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations, and in a manner that will ensure safety of children in Chestnut Hill Academy's care and the employee.

This role has a mixture of duties including office/computer/phone-based work, in-person supervision of care delivery and employees throughout all areas of the school, family/prospective family interactions which may take place in various areas of the school, and the ability to temporarily sub for brief periods of time on an as-needed basis (e.g., subbing for a classroom teacher)

Compensation:

The annual starting salary for this position is between $68,000 - $125,000 per year. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.

Also, new employees in this role receive 1 hour of sick time per 30 hours worked.  Employees in this role will receive time off with pay on scheduled school holidays and school vacation breaks during the school year.Compensation: $62,000 - $110,000 / annually
