Employer Engagement Manager Full Description

Employer Engagement Manager
Location: Orange, California — Chapman University, Career and Professional Development office
Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Exempt. Anticipated pay range: $70,500 - $73,000.
This position is fully on campus; employees work alongside colleagues, faculty, students, and staff each day.

Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Employer Engagement, this position is part of the Employer Engagement team within the Career and Professional Development (CPD) Office. The Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining effective relationships with local, regional, national, and global employers to increase recruiting opportunities for Chapman students and alumni, and supports the planning and execution of the university’s central recruiting programs, including career fairs and on-campus interviews.

Employer Engagement
  • Strategically manage the university’s central recruiting programs under the guidance of the Assistant Director
  • Meet CPD goals for increasing the quality and quantity of employer engagement through research, outreach, and milestones tracked in the Employer Relationship Manager (ERM) system
  • Oversee recruiting programs including career fairs, networking nights, information sessions, on-campus interviews, tablings, coffee chats, and employer site visits
  • Manage event registrations, interview schedules, and information sessions for employers in Handshake
  • Conduct internship and post-graduation job development and employer outreach
  • Promote and nurture on-going relationships with industry leaders and corporate recruiters
  • Identify appropriate employer contacts for career-related workshops and panels
Employer Engagement Operations
  • Support day-to-day operations of the Employer Engagement team, providing excellent customer service to employers, students, alumni, and faculty
  • Collect engagement data through the ERM and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, tracking employer touch points against CPD KPIs
  • Train and supervise student workers on entering employer engagement and event information into the ERM and Handshake
  • Supervise student workers facilitating information sessions and on-campus interviews, and flag employers or postings that don’t comply with CPD policies
  • Work with the Assistant Director of Administration and Career Resources on event participation fees and online payment portals

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • 2-3 years of full-time professional experience, preferably in administration, recruiting, sales, development coordination, or employer engagement in an academic, corporate, or related setting
  • A high level of professionalism and excellent customer service skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to relate to a variety of constituents
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and flexible with changing priorities
  • Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously under time pressure
