Position Summary/Job Duties:

We are seeking a tutor to visit our home (near Hilldale Mall / bus route) twice per week to tutor our teen on writing skills.

  1. Tutor should have a background in written expression and or teaching/tutoring -  education majors are preferred.
  2. Work with student in 11th grade. Need structured and explicit one-on-one writing assistance to improve vocabulary, sentence structure, paragraph organization, and essay planning. Targeted support needed for written expression focused on text structure (capitalization and punctuation), as well as syntax and conventions.
  3. Tutor should enjoy working with being around children.  Learning should be fun!  
  4. Tutor should be a current UW Madison student.

4 hours per week (two visits, two hours each) $100 per week.  Additional visits may be requested.

Note: House does have a medium size dog.

Qualifications:

Tutor should have a background in writing and/or teaching/tutoring -  education majors are preferred
