Enrollment Communications Manager Full Description

Position Summary:      

The Enrollment Communications Manager is the architect of prospect and applicant communications for the Katz School’s enrollment unit. This role owns the strategy, sequencing, copywriting, and performance optimization of all nurture communications that move prospective students from initial inquiry through deposit. This is a senior-level individual contributor role.

Position Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Graduate Enrollment and Admissions, the Enrollment Communications Manager is responsible for the following:

Multi-Channel Communication Strategy

  • Create and manage content across email, text, chat, and other related communication channels
  • Design and manage communication journeys across the full enrollment funnel (lead → inquiry → application → admission → deposit)
  • Build targeted communication strategies for distinct student populations and define messaging cadence, sequence, and channel mix based on audience and program characteristics
  • Develop, implement, and optimize enrollment communication content, workflows, triggers, and lifecycle campaigns within the CRM
  • Partner with admissions counselors and enrollment leadership to identify common applicant questions, objections, and decision factors, and translate those insights into communication strategies
  • Develop and execute communication strategies designed to support admitted student engagement and deposit conversion
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director of Admissions Operations on campaign execution, workflow builds, and platform automations

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track key engagement, progression, and conversion metrics on a daily basis
  • Continuously test and refine communication strategies (copy, sequencing, timing, segmentation, channel mix) to improve engagement, progression, and conversion outcomes
  • Analyze progression and conversion rates between enrollment stages and identify communication strategies that improve movement through the funnel
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that surface actionable insights for real-time decision-making
  • Report insights and recommendations to leadership

Product Knowledge — Maintain a working knowledge of:

  • Each program’s curriculum, faculty expertise, student research and projects, and notable campus experiences
  • Student outcomes, including licensure rates, career placement, salary data, internships, and capstone project experiences
  • Current job market trends and employer expectations relevant to each program area
  • New York City as a destination for career launch and professional growth — including its industry landscape and employer networks

Schedule

  • Periodic flexibility — including occasional evening or weekend availability — may be required during peak enrollment periods to support events or time-sensitive communications.

Experience & Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in email marketing, marketing automation, or digital communications; experience in graduate admissions/enrollment a plus
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Experience optimizing campaigns using CRM platforms (e.g. HubSpot, Slate, Salesforce)
  • Experience analyzing campaign performance and translating data into actionable communication and enrollment strategies
  • Highly organized and self-directed; comfortable managing a high volume of active sequences across multiple programs simultaneously without losing quality or attention to detail
