Position Description
Advertised Job Summary | Enrollment Counselor (Stu Srvcs Prog Coord I), Salary: $37,735 – $47,168 per year, USCA Admissions
The Enrollment Counselor represents USC Aiken in order to increase enrollment by recruiting new students by utilizing CRM, student information system, territory management, and all available resources. Increases prospects and family visits to campus, and creates additional student applications for admission. Contributes as part of a results driven team of enrollment management officers and effectively manages assigned territory to increase inquiries, applications, admits, and enrollees. Extensive in-state travel along with some night and weekend work is required. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Excellent written and oral communication skills. Working knowledge of various Microsoft Office suite software (Word, Outlook, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher). Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals, and ability to balance priorities. Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a job related field and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Preferred: Experience in admissions, orientation, or other student-centered university functions. Strong communication, problem solving, and customer service skills. Strong public presentation skills, involvement/work with student organizations, management of volunteer-based organizations. Job Duties
Job Duty | Represents USC Aiken to prospective students, families, and school officials by visiting high schools and colleges, college fairs, and other recruitment activities to increase enrollment. Travel is required, as is extensive night and weekend work. Counsels applicants on admission requirements and decisions. Reviews applications for freshman admission at peak times. Assists with the daily operation of the Office of Admissions including maintaining daily appointments, phone/e-mail/web contacts, and corresponding with the various constituencies of the office. Regularly presents group information sessions.
