The Enrollment Counselor represents USC Aiken in order to increase enrollment by recruiting new students by utilizing CRM, student information system, territory management, and all available resources. Increases prospects and family visits to campus, and creates additional student applications for admission. Contributes as part of a results driven team of enrollment management officers and effectively manages assigned territory to increase inquiries, applications, admits, and enrollees. Extensive in-state travel along with some night and weekend work is required. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Excellent written and oral communication skills. Working knowledge of various Microsoft Office suite software (Word, Outlook, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher). Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals, and ability to balance priorities. Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a job related field and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Preferred: Experience in admissions, orientation, or other student-centered university functions. Strong communication, problem solving, and customer service skills.
