Rappahannock Community College (RCC), founded in 1970, provides high-quality educational and training opportunities throughout a 12-county service region an hour east of Richmond on the beautiful western shore of the Chesapeake Bay with access to fresh local seafood and water activities. RCC delivers accessible and affordable educational opportunities, including for-credit transfer and career technical programs, robust distance education coursework, quality dual enrollment courses, and award-winning workforce training and credentialing programs. RCC’s annualized enrollment of 3,700 credit students in 2024-2025 and almost 800 workforce and community development students are supported by almost 140 full-time employees and over 200 part-time/adjunct employees across two main campuses and four satellite sites.

RCC seeks applicants for the Enterprise Applications Administrator position. This is a full-time, classified staff position. RCC has an excellent benefits package, and the anticipated hiring salary range will be commensurate with experience, not to exceed $70,000. This position will be located on the Warsaw campus. Only current RCC employees are eligible to apply.
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this position provides functional and technical user support to Admissions and Records, Workforce Services, Financial Aid, Student Financials and the Division Dean’s Offices for Oracle/PeopleSoft applications. These applications include SIS (Student Information System), AIS (Administrative Information System) and all other enterprise applications. The incumbent will provide data entry, table setup and maintenance for internal clients. This role is also responsible for writing, developing, and maintaining SQL-based queries and BI (Business Intelligence) Publisher reports to meet users’ needs. This position will serve as the security administrator for AIS and SIS systems, and backup security administrator for all other enterprise applications.
Special Assignments | May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications | Significant programming/database and design concepts experience. Demonstrated ability to learn programming languages such as SQL and develop queries. Ability to communicate orally and in writing with users and technical staff. Experience in a PeopleSoft/Oracle database environment supporting end users. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to work with a diverse base of non-technical and technical users.
Additional Considerations | Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably SQL query development. Considerable work experience in the VCCS in academic support or technology services.
