EUC Engineer - SW Distribution Mgmt


Job Summary
The Software Installation Engineer is responsible for the oversight of the packaging deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of applications across the enterprise environment. This role ensures that automation tools are used to enable the efficient publishing of approved customer requested applications.

Responsibilities
  • Application Packaging: Oversee the application service to meet user requirements for approved application.  Ensure versioning, updating and interfaces to user interfaces (i.e. Company Portal) are working effectively so that users can install applications for their business workflows.
  • Tooling Administration: Oversee the installation and updating of tooling that interfaces to user portal systems. This includes diagnosing and resolving package and deployment issues and working directly with tooling vendor to solve problems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with application requestors, Asset Management, and Legal Teams to understand the requirements and software approval process.
  • Compliance: Point of contact for Information Security to diagnose or block vulnerable or compromised applications when needed.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Responsible for application data mining and keeping user portals performant.

Minimum Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree, or equivalent experience) is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows

Additional Qualifications
  • Proficiency with application packaging and deployment, preferably with automation tooling packaging tools or scripting (e.g. PowerShell).
  • Strong understanding of Windows operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with deployment and management tools (AutoPilot, Intune, Group Policy).
  • Proven customer service experience with ability to translate requirements into solutions.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
