Weber State University is hiring an Event and Outreach Coordinator on-site at its Ogden, UT campus.
This full-time role (40 hours/week, 12 months/year, Pay Grade E32) focuses on fostering engagement among students, faculty, staff, and local communities through events supporting academic success, community building, and institutional goals, including student-oriented activities, division gatherings, outreach events, and support for major university events.
Required qualifications: a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience, plus two years of experience in event planning, coordination, or outreach in a higher education, nonprofit, or similar setting. Familiarity with social media and digital marketing tools for promotional campaigns is preferred. The annual salary starts at $50,000 and may go up depending on candidate qualifications.

This role requires strong organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to collaborate across departments and with community partners to ensure seamless event delivery that aligns with the university’s mission of access and excellence. Ability to engage with and lead staff and volunteers at events is required. Required Qualifications | Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience Two years of experience in event planning, coordination, or outreach in a higher education, nonprofit, or similar setting. Preferred Qualifications | Preferred: Degree in event management, communications, or a related field. Budget management experience Experience coordinating large-scale events in a university environment.
