Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Starting salary range: $49,396 to $55,000 annually.
Customer base includes students, faculty, vendors, and external partners affiliated with the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management.

Advertised Job Summary | The Department of Sport and Entertainment Management (SPTE) within the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management (HRSM) seeks a dynamic and detail-oriented Events Manager. The Events Manager is responsible for coordinating, planning, and managing events including but not limited to, annual events, career fairs, and conferences. With limited supervision, the Events Manager will oversee event logistics, operations, maintaining strong relationships with third parties and vendors, provide exceptional customer services and implement strategies and outreach to meet the goals of the College.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2-5 years of experience in planning and executing successful events, with a proven track record of managing all aspects of event logistics and operations. This role requires a creative thinker with excellent organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment to deliver exceptional experiences for clients and attendees. Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience | Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials | Preferred Qualifications | Bachelor Degree in a related field and 2-5 years of experience in event planning and event management.
