Job Summary 
This executive communications position requires adherence to university brand standards, high-level communications experience to interpret and iterate research-specific messaging that aligns with university messaging, idea creation/curation and wokring with a tream on visual refinement to convey complex ideas. It involves researching, writing, editing and managing the UK Vice President for Research’s written, oral and visual communication to internal and external constituencies, including speeches, presentations, quotes, radio/video material, talking points, websites, emails to research community, social media and strategic communication campaigns. Includes communication support (writing, editing, review, strategic planning for VPR-supported programs/events, research support offices, centers and institutes, and core facilities), review of research data for a variety of communications and constituencies, and generation of federally funded acknowledgement statements. Requires professional interaction with the Vice President for Research, UK Public Relations and Strategic Communications, UK Marketing, University Relations, and Office of Legal Counsel. Reports to the Director of Research Communications, a unit that reports jointly to the Chief Communications Officer and the Vice President for Research.
