Highlights
  • Lead and grow the university's planned giving program in partnership with nearly 150 development officers.
  • Develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies, donor cultivation, stewardship, and marketing initiatives.
  • Provide strategic oversight of the UNC Life Income program, life insurance gifts, and inventory of probated estates.
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree and at least one year of professional fundraising experience required.
  • Deep knowledge of charitable estate planning laws and experience leading a gift planning team in a complex organization.
  • Preferred 12-15 years of planned giving or related leadership experience, with expertise in charitable estate planning and complex gift vehicles.
  • Strong communication, fiscal management, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills required.
  • Preferred advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CAP, CFP, CPA).
  • Experience in higher education or similar large nonprofits with proven success increasing planned giving revenue.
  • Proficiency with advancement databases and gift planning software is preferred.
