As part of this mission, College Board is expanding its work at the intersection of education and the workforce through the acquisition of District C, a nonprofit organization and scaling its flagship work-based learning program, Teamship. This acquisition strengthens College Board’s ability to deliver real-world, career-relevant learning experiences that help students build the durable skills employers value most — including collaboration, problem-solving, and communication. Teamship is a work-based learning model in which small teams of students work on real business challenges for real employers, gaining hands-on experience while building confidence, social capital, and transferable skills. Learn more about Teamship here.  

Our team is entering an exciting build and scale phase — bringing together College Board’s reach, technology, and operational expertise with the strength of the Teamship model.  

We’re assembling a cross-functional group of designers, engineers, product managers, and researchers who thrive on solving meaningful problems to join the Teamship Team to ensure more students have access to meaningful work-based learning and can build the durable skills employers value most. 
 
About the Opportunity 
As the founding Product Manager on this team, you will play a key role in shaping the future of College Board’s work-based learning offering and expansion of Teamship. 
You will help define and build products that connect classrooms to the real world and build tools that:   
  • Help educators guide students through authentic, employer-driven projects 
  • Enable students to practice and strengthen durable skills while building professional connections 
  • Make it easier for employers to engage with future talent and invest in their communities 
This role sits at the intersection of product, education, and workforce innovation. You’ll help scale a model to reach more students and communities nationwide, beginning with a coordinated expansion effort launching in fall 2026. You’ll also help ensure that the experience remains authentic, equitable, and impactful as it grows — balancing the needs of students, educators, and employer partners. 
You’ll be part of a team creating something both new and established: building on a successful Teamship program while reimagining how it can operate at national scale to help all students develop skills that last a lifetime. 
 
In this role you will 
Lead Product Development (50%) 
  • Collaborate with the leadership of the program and other key stakeholders to set product priorities that meet economic and mission KPI for the program  
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to understand user needs to create a detailed product roadmap 
  • Spearhead the ideation, design, and development of the program to scale, ensuring alignment with College Board’s mission 
  • Develop and prioritize product features and requirements based on customer feedback and market needs
  • Maintain high standards of quality, usability, and customer satisfaction throughout the product development lifecycle 
  • Collaborate with team members on user interviews, focus groups, usability tests, etc. to help shape the design and development of products and services 
Management (50%) 
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team including a service designer and an engineering team to learn, iterate, and execute against priorities 
  • Establish processes and timelines to evaluate ideas, determine viability, and iteratively test and scale new programs and services 

About You 
You have: 
  • 10+ years of digital Product Manager experience
  • A track record of evidence as a visionary and strategic thinker with a passion for innovation 
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and excitement about the opportunity to develop new solutions in an ever-shifting education landscape 
  • A proven track record of successfully bringing new products to market 
  • The desire and ability to thrive in ambiguous and fast-paced environments 
  • A track record of leading and cultivating successful, thriving teams 
  • Strong project management skills 
  • Highly effective communication skills and an ability to build relationships across lines of difference   
  • Evidence of being a distinctive problem-solver, you have a strong ability to apply these skills to a diverse set of problems

  • A deep excitement about the challenge of defining and developing a new product and business line from scratch
  • Ability to travel on behalf of College Board 3-5 times per year

About Our Process
