This position is located in Highland County, Ohio. The Ohio State University Extension Educator will work collaboratively with county, center, area, and state teams of OSU Extension professionals and with local agency leaders and volunteers to provide guidance for 4-H Youth Development programming targeted to local and area needs. The Educator will use formal and informal community assessment methods to identify educational needs and opportunities, then implement and teach educational programming to groups and individuals comprised of adults and youth.
The Educator leads committees and volunteers, establishes and maintains community partnerships, and designs and implements a high-quality annual overnight residential 4-H camping program, including recruitment, selection, training, and ongoing oversight of teen camp counselors and adult volunteers. The role also supports the county junior and senior fair boards, develops promotional material, evaluates educational programs and dissemination methods, and participates in discussions with county representatives concerning program funding and budget management. Must have own transportation.

- Extension Educator 1 — requires a bachelor's degree; salary range $42,100-$55,000
- Extension Educator 2 — requires a master's degree; salary range $47,700-$62,300
- Extension Educator 3 — requires a master's degree and 11+ years of direct or related work experience; salary range $55,700-$72,700
