Position Summary
The Faculty Affairs Administrator supports the Office of Faculty Affairs at Tandon School of Engineering to administer faculty recruiting, hiring, visa processing and onboarding processes. Reporting to Assistant Director of Faculty Affairs and coordinates heavily with Tandon HR on faculty appointment processing. Manages the communication and organization of the Faculty Development programs, Faculty Mentoring program, Faculty Award Selection process, and various faculty events.
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related area
Required Experience:
2+ years experience in working in human resources, faculty affairs or higher education, supervision, managing budgets or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience:
2+ years Experience in marketing, web-page maintenance, working in a large, highly selective college or university or in a non-profit organization and working with Faculty.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organization, interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal and in writing. Ability to interact with a diverse population at all levels. Must be a self starter and able to exercise discretion and sound judgment with confidential and sensitive information. Strong proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software. Must be professional, detail oriented and operate with an analytical and process improvement mindset.

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $63,611.10 to USD $77,746.90. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
