Research areas include AI-enabled digital twins, edge intelligence, trustworthy AI, resilience forecasting, human-AI decision support, cyber-physical threat detection, and foundation models for intelligence.
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in data science.
Collaborate with faculty from the School of Data Science, Batten College of Engineering and Technology, and Office of Enterprise Research and Innovation.
Encouraged to establish partnerships with Brock Virginia Health Sciences and federal research facilities such as Jefferson Lab, NASA Langley, and Navy Surface Warfare Center.
Must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent in Data Science, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
Senior faculty candidates must qualify for tenure in the School of Data Science.
Preferred qualifications include a strong publication record, experience with external grants, and excellent communication skills.
Position is a full-time, annual 10-month appointment starting July 25, 2026.
