Field Sales Marketing Director - ELA
The Marketing Director for ELA is tasked with the creation and execution of marketing plans to meet overall HMH Core and Supplemental Open Territory revenue goals. The Marketing Director will be responsible for the development of regional go-to-market campaigns, sales support and engagement strategies for K-12 edtech solutions.
The Marketing Director will report to the Sr. Director of Marketing. The Marketing Director will partner and collaborate with sales, product development, growth marketing, events and conference teams and other customer-facing teams within the larger marketing organization.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with Sr. Director of Marketing, regional sales leadership, account executives and counterpart for Math/Science/Social Studies regional marketing to determine what campaigns and/or sales support assets are needed to drive Open Territory pipeline growth, customer engagement, and revenue.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Marketing including Brand and Creative, Channel, Platform, Assessment, and Services to ensure cohesive execution of regional campaigns.
- As needed, assist Sr. Director of Marketing and broader ELA Marketing team on national campaign and efforts.
- Measure and report on campaign performance, adjusting tactics to maximize ROI
- Manage all customer-facing assets located on internal sales support system (SalesHub) to ensure accuracy and relevance
- Develop resources such as SalesHub Toolkits, Digital Rooms, etc., to support district reviews, RFPs and theme-based campaigns
- Act as a team player in problem-solving or opportunity situations, messaging solutions to Sales, Customers, and internal stakeholders as needed
- Continue to develop a solid understanding of how districts adopt and buy K-12 solutions, including customer purchasing behavior, their purchase criteria, and how to concisely articulate criteria coverage that connects to our programs, while eliciting and maintaining customer interest in the program.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of digital marketing, resourceful connections with educators, customers, and future customers.
What You'll Need:
- Requires BS/BA
- 4 - 5+ years professional experience in a marketing-related position
- Proficient in Canva
- Highspot or equivalent sales enablement experience
- Experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, TEAMS), Microsoft Co-Pilot (or comparable generative AI platform tools), Adobe, Camtasia, and Social Media platforms

Travel:
Salary Range: $100,000 - $108,000
