Field Training Manager is a managerial role acting as the main point of contact for site operational training across T5’s
Training portfolio which includes, but is not limited to technical, administrative, and process driven training for all operational, under construction, and in development data centers across T5’s portfolio. Individuals considered for this opportunity are self-starters, team builders, masters or process management and administrative experts possessing a thorough command of what it takes to manage the full spectrum of training needs for a continuously diverse portfolio.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and define strategic training objectives throughout the portfolio and design, plan, and implement programs, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs.
• Conduct in-person, hands-on training and evaluate employee performance directly in the field.
• Conduct site visit across the portfolio to operational data centers and construction sites.
• Adhere to site security and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with managers to align training with company goals and improve operational efficiency.
• Ensures that training is executed, documented, and effective at site level.
• Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the
T5 and/or the data center industry.
• Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could improve.
• Collaborates & coordinate with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training options or requirements.
• Guide and manage local and remote data center operational teams with a goal of 100% compliance to T5’s pre- defined training requirements.
• Ensure consistent quality and adherence to client and T5-driven operational standards across multiple sites.
• Conduct recurring collaboration meeting with management and site training representatives throughout the portfolio on a regular and recurring basis to drive cohesion and knowledge growth.
• Responsible for reporting on a regular and recurring basis regarding all aspects of T5 training requirements.
• Train end-users on utilizing LMS system and other training tools as applicable.
• Review training program feedback on a regular and recurring basis.
• Prepares and implements non-site-specific training budget.
• Ensure recurring training program assessments are included with the technical operations site assessments and track action items to drive toward compliance with OSHA and T5 training requirements.
• Pursue training consultation opportunities and revenue generation training creation projects at leadership discretion
• Manage a team of training facilitators, specialist, and designers to develop training materials and resources.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, required
· 5+ Years in training construction teams and/or as a construction professional (project manager and above)
· Construction experience, required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES
Must be proficient in: Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF and CAD/Visio, REVIT
· Knowledge in Procore is required.
· Individual must be driven, hardworking and dedicated, required
· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, required
· An energetic self-starter with a “can do/whatever it takes” attitude who can perform under pressure, work successfully on tight deadlines and identify and resolve problems as they arise, required
· Open to frequent travel
