The Financial Analyst is a key finance business partner role to support leadership teams across multiple functions, including sales and marketing. This position will be responsible for helping to provide financial insights to help guide and support key business decisions. The Financial Analyst will also provide business analytics support to drive incremental profitable revenue growth, as well as ensuring effective spend and budget management.

Key accountabilities:

Reporting and Analysis

  • Deliver standard pipeline and other sales performance reports by department and territory. Ensure reporting is provided to each level of management.
  • Provide analytics and ad-hoc support to management; includes evaluating the effectiveness of new performance metrics.
  • Lead the collection and validation of performance data.
  • Leverage salesforce.com dashboard and other reporting tools to support sales performance reporting, monitoring and tracking.
  • Monitors data and provides analysis to illustrate sales trends, identify weaknesses in current sales execution and support future sales strategy.

Sales Forecasting
  •  Assist and provide reporting to management in the development and evaluation of rolling sales forecast.
  • Engage with sales management to validate sales pipeline and analyze forecast accuracy.
  • Work closely with finance organization to support regular forecasting activities.

Field Support
  • Answer queries from sales management, finance and other stakeholders and respond in a timely, professional manner.
  • Prepare presentations, reporting and analytical support for regional sales meetings and other events as needed.
  • Act as a strong contributor to an operating culture that makes possible collaboration, open communications, and a focus on talent development.

Other responsibilities include:
  • Partner to develop financial strategies and objectives to optimize business performance to achieve annual objectives.
  • Support planning, forecasting and general reporting activities.
  • Drive customer profitability by partnering with key stakeholders to establish annual quotas for sales, spend and profit to achieve the Annual Operating Plan.
  • Identify and drive spending changes to budget/forecast by uncovering opportunities and risks to annual/quarterly plans.
  • Liaise with key business partners to develop and/or enhance promotional tools for improved efficiency and ROI.
  • Partner with leadership to develop and implement key KPI metrics/scorecard to drive performance management.
  • Create an environment that encourages information sharing, team-based resolutions, cross-functional collaboration and process improvement/simplification to ensure superior execution.
  • Ensure that the financial terms and conditions for all major transactions are accurate and executed in accordance with company policy.
  • Ensure all internal controls are in place and adhered to by all field sales personnel.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
    • A degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred but not required.
  • 1-3 years of experience preferred. Interaction with a diversified customer base a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Business Objects, Salesforce.com, Google Studio and/or PowerBI are a plus.

Additional Skills and Competencies:
  • Working knowledge of MS Office with strong Excel skills. Proficiency in Access a plus.
  • Ability to work with complex concepts, analyze data, draw conclusions, make recommendations while using judgment, experience and industry knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively to explain financial concepts to non-finance people.
  • Ability to show initiative and make impactful decisions with little to no supervision.
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to build business partnerships.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial assessments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
  • Knowledge of accounting policies and procedures.

Hiring Range: $64,000 - $65,000
