Description of Work  | Join the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR) Business Centers, where we strive to deliver exceptional service, innovative solutions, and responsible stewardship that advance IANR’s teaching, research, and extension missions.
As a Finance Coordinator, you will coordinate a wide range of financial transactions across multiple fund types, providing responsive support and ensuring compliance with university policies.

Responsibilities Include: Reviewing expenditures for funding allowability across a variety of account types and preparing payment and transfer requests when appropriate. Processing and reviewing accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) transactions, including reimbursements, non-employee payments, invoices, refunds, internal charges, and outstanding receivables. Monitoring assigned accounts, reviewing cost object balances, and preparing standard financial reports. Providing guidance and customer support to faculty and staff regarding financial policies, procedures, and business processes.

This position is located on UNL’s East Campus in Lincoln, NE. Following an initial training period of up to six months, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week working onsite. Hybrid arrangements are subject to supervisor approval and are determined based on operational needs.

Minimum Required Qualifications  | High school diploma or equivalency plus three (3) years of experience in accounting or finance related work; ORAssociate degree in related field plus one (1) year of experience in accounting or finance related work. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, including Excel for data management and reporting. Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and university policies. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, collaborative relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
