Minimum Education and Experience  | Bachelor’s degree and four years of general office, accounting or business related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  | Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage the chart of accounts by monitoring cost centers, periodically reviewing cost center attributes, updating department/fund/function codes as needed, reviewing balances, and closing or inactivating unused cost centers. Verify payroll distribution reports for monthly employees; communicate discrepancies to Payroll and the Financial Team and follow up to ensure timely resolution. Prepare Interdepartmental Transfers (IDTs), Budget Journal Transfers, and Budget Journals accurately and promptly. Perform monthly account reconciliations and track transactions to maintain accurate financial records. Monitor and review eProcurement requisitions, assisting with issue resolution to ensure smooth purchasing processes. Provide guidance to staff and faculty at all levels regarding University and Departmental financial policies and procedures. Generate reports using PeopleSoft, Orion, and OBF systems to support the School of Finance and Operations (SFO), including compiling data for annual surveys and other projects. Support the One Card process, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Assist with scholarship processing to facilitate timely disbursement and accurate record-keeping. Support staff and adjunct faculty hiring processes as needed. Attend University HR, Payroll, Budget, Procurement, and Finance meetings to stay informed of policy and procedural updates. Undertake additional projects and responsibilities as assigned to support the team and department goals.

Additional Information  | Remote Work Notice
A hybrid remote work schedule may be available (currently 1-day remote weekly). Employees must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required upon employment, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required.
