Join the University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB) and become part of a dynamic higher education team in the heart of the South Carolina Lowcountry! USCB is seeking a Temporary  | Financial Analyst to support financial operations and foundation accounting in a collaborative university environment.
This position is responsible for reviewing, verifying, and processing purchase and payment documents including purchase orders, travel authorizations, reimbursements, expense reports, and payment requests in compliance with university, state, and federal policies. The role also works closely with the Development Office to monitor Foundation accounts, process Foundation payment requests, and prepare monthly Foundation close reports.
Additional responsibilities include coordinating invoice approvals and PO matching, maintaining vendor records and tax documentation, analyzing departmental budgets, resolving payment discrepancies, assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, and supporting audits and compliance reviews.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of accounts payable procedures, GAAP principles, financial recordkeeping, and strong Excel and computer skills. Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential.
