Description:

The Goizueta Business School isseeking a detail-oriented financial professional to support accurate accounting practices and strategic financial planning. This role involves analyzing historical data, preparing financial reports, and projecting future trends to guide short- and long-term decision-making. The position also includes maintaining strong internal controls, assisting with audits, and collaborating across teams to ensure compliance and deliver high-quality financial support.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyzes historical accounting data and other information to make projections which will aid management in short- and long-range financial planning.
  • Coordinates action necessary to correct account balances and maintain proper accounting controls and procedures.
  • Assists in year-end audits and in ensuring the accuracy of accounting data.
  • Analyzes financial statements and prepares and analyzes financial reports to represent current and projected financial status.
  • Projects future trends and prepares long-range operational forecasts and cash flow analysis.
  • May assist in preparing, developing and monitoring budgets.
  • May perform indirect cost analysis.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business management, finance or a related field and two years of financial analysis or accounting experience, OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

PREFERRED QUALIFIICATIONS:

  • Experience partnering with internal and external customers to understand business needs, provide responsive financial support, and deliver high-quality customer service in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain financial concepts, assumptions, and recommendations to diverse audiences.
  • Experience supporting budget development, monitoring, and long-range financial planning in a team-oriented environment.
