Job SummaryThe Financial Assistant III performs a variety of financial operational duties, including student financials and departmental transactions, under general oversight. Ensures compliance, accuracy, and timeliness in the management of financial resources for the Knox Campus and provides support for district-wide operations as needed.

Job Duties:
• Bills, collects payments, and counsels internal stakeholders on applicable financial processes and procedures.

• Monitors, organizes, and updates purchasing card transactions, accounts payable/receivable transactions, fiscal records, and reports. Processes reimbursements and assigns funding codes in accordance with established rules, regulations, and policies.

• Tracks vendor reports, records, and fund ledgers using established systems to ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations.

• Drafts communications and reports, organizes records, and secures resources to provide administrative and financial support for campus operations.

• Serves as cashier for student payments and departmental monies, ensuring accurate processing and recordkeeping.

• Oversees collections billing for the Knox Campus and supports collection efforts as directed.

• Acts as the accounts payable liaison for the Knox Campus, including processing vouchers, requisitions, and monthly bill payments. Assists with district-wide accounts payable tasks as assigned.

• Serves as ProCard auditor for the Knox Campus, monitoring transactions for accuracy and policy compliance.

• Maintains student accounts, including applying and releasing financial holds and resolving discrepancies.

• Assists with student receivable projects and other financial assignments as directed by the supervisor.

• Provides accurate, timely responses to fiscal questions from students, staff, and other stakeholders.

• Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient and effective operation of the campus and college.

Minimum Qualifications:Associate degree; or 3-4 years equivalent work experience.
