Job SummaryThe Financial System Specialist II (Advancement Specialist) position performs a wide range of financial, technical, and administrative duties in support of system-wide fundraising efforts and the KCTCS Foundation. This position works closely with the Advancement, Financial Aid, and Marketing teams to facilitate scholarships awards and support the success of external communications and fundraising efforts. Assists colleges with online giving and special event management and implements stewardship plans.

Positions with the KCTCS System Office located in Versailles, KY are term-contract positions, with the expectancy of continuance based on performance.

KCTCS offers a hybrid work schedule with a requirement to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per work week. Hybrid work schedules are subject to periodic review and may be modified or terminated at any time.

Job Duties:Support college and KCTCS Foundation fundraising efforts with a focus on donor stewardship. Maintain tracking system for grant/donor reports, compile reports, and submit in a timely manner.

Coordinate system-wide scholarship opportunities, manage the application process, work with Financial Aid to ensure awards are made, and communicate impact to donors.

Support implementation of stewardship and communications plans. Coordinate communications for system­wide appeals.

Assist colleges with leveraging software platforms for online giving and event management.

Crosstrain with other Advancement staff to perform gift processing duties as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:Associate's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications and four (4) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications and three (3) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Additional Skills Requested:The person in this position should have strong communication skills, both verbal and written. The position also requires in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office Suite programs. Knowledge of fundraising principals and databases is a plus. Certifications or training in any formal fund raising program (e.g., IUPUI Center on Philanthropy, CASE, AFP), or Blackbaud certification in Raiser's Edge including fundamental level and the professional level certificates will be beneficial.
