Job Summary 
The Gift Processing Specialist (GPS) will process gifts and pledges to the University, prepare daily tax receipts, prepare monthly pledge reminders, file/scan gift documentation, and enter/update data into the alumni and donor database (Raiser’s Edge NXT).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Receive and process gifts and pledges to the University, ensuring all are entered accurately and in accordance with donor intent. Apply organizational policies and procedures along with IRS guidelines and CASE Global Reporting Standards to all gift acceptance issues. Stay abreast of any updates to CASE Global Reporting Standards or changes to IRS guidelines related to charitable giving. Monitor and maintain the integrity of the data in the alumni and donor database (Raiser’s Edge NXT). Research missing alumni and/or donor information and update Raiser’s Edge NXT. Perform other record updates as needed. Prepare and edit daily tax receipts. Produce and distribute the Daily Gift Report to all Development and Alumni Relations (DAR). Prepare and process monthly pledge reminders. Follow-up with DAR staff and other UTA departments on gift information as needed. Complete transfers for gift adjustments. Monitor and reconcile the Gift Holding cost center. Student workers: Hire, train, and manage student workers to assist Gift Processing team. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications  | High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of upper-level secretarial experience with increasingly responsible administrative, secretarial, or clerical work. Knowledge of a personal computer and standard office machines. Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet programs or software, spelling, business math, and grammar. Must be detailed-oriented, highly organized, and accurate in maintaining records.
Preferred Qualifications  | Experience or education in nonprofit/higher education fields. Experience working in a professional/educational office setting. Experience and knowledge of department and University procedures. Experience using Raiser’s Edge or similar fundraising CRM software. Intermediate or Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, particularly in Word and Excel. Some supervisory or leadership experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities  | Microsoft Office products knowledge: Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMs and other common office software. Excellent time management and communication skills.
